Hardchrome Plating

7/08/2008

Hydraulic rod on the polisher.

Hard chrome plating:

Ideal for hydraulic applications where a hard corrosion resistant coating is required, giving a smooth hard wearing surface.

This process involves electroplating a chromium carbide coating onto the work piece. The components are then polished bringing the surface back into tolerances within the required roughness average (RA) surface finish.

AustChrome’s chrome tanks have the capacity to handle a wide range of hydraulic cylinder rods, shafts and suspension components.
