For over 25 years, Austchrome has been delivering unparalled service that ensures asset uptime and boosts productivity. Our promise is to continue to deliver creative engineering solutions for our customers.
1994
Austchrome opens with 9 highly skilled team members and a workshop ready to service customers. Machinery included a chrome plant, a strip tank, polishers, lathes, grinders, borer, radial arm drill, 100T press, 3m hone, disassemble bench, weld and paint bays.
1998 - 2000
Austchrome capabilities have expanded, with HVOF in full operation, our team grows to 50 employees.
2003 - 2008
Further expansion of our operations, including additional land, sheds, and operational areas.
Facility departments extend to accommodate
larger components.
2009 - 2015
Austchrome commissions multiple automated machines and continues to expand facility areas, including new office block built.
2017- 2018
Austchrome grows to 100 staff and continues to
support industry demands with additional sheds
and equipment.
2022 onwards
Austchrome undergoes a brand refresh reflective
of our history and vision. We are a company built
by our people. Our people are our brand and since
the beginning, we’ve instilled strong family values
and will retain these as we evolve.
Today, Austchrome has over 4,000m2 of
undercover workshop area, fitted with a range
of specialised and modern equipment. Our large
capacity workshops include dedicated areas for
disassembly, assembly and testing; weld shop;
hardchrome rooms; thermal application rooms;
paint and dispatch areas.
